E is for ELEPHANT
Isn't it shameful the way I keep resorting to my most recent safari photos?
However I am still on a high about the trip every time I look at the photos and as they are pertinent to the letter of the week - why not!
The first of these was taken in the Tarangire National Park, whilst the second was taken at Lake Manyara. Note the difference in colour, caused entirely by the colour of the soil in which they had been covering themselves. The soil in Tarangire is remarkably red.
The elephant in Lake Manyara was momentarily quite a scary moment as we had stopped the Land Cruiser to watch several of them and this one headed straight for us and had a particularly evil look in his eye. He decided that he had scared us enough and simply walked across the road in front of us -PHEW!
If you want to participate in ABC Wednesday, pop along to Mrs Nesbitt's blog of the same name and either share some of your own photos or simply visit the other participants and enjoy their stunning photos

The mud makes them look very different, doesn't it?
Because of films like Dumbo, I think of elephants as sweet and innocent and forget they are wild animals!
lovely pictures!

No wonder you're still on a high from your trip. That's something I'd love to do, too.
Wonderful real-life shots of the elephant. He is quite imposing.
Why not, I enjoy seeing them.
Oh bring on the elephants! More more!
Thanks for being part of ABC Wednesday.
