ABC Wednesday - L

L is for Lions and Leopard
As any of the regular readers to my blog no doubt expected, I have returned to my safari pictures for the letter L. These were all taken in the Serengeti National Park and we could have watched the lion cubs for hours. We did not see their parents but were sure that they were not far away as they kept looking for them to return, probably with food!
We were so lucky to spot the leopard as although they are quite plentiful in the Serengeti they are very shy and keep well away from the tracks. With the aid of a good lens on my camera I managed these very reasonable shots.

If you want to participate in ABC Wednesday Round 3, then pop along to Mrs Nesbitt's blog of the same name and either share some of your own photos or simply visit the other participants and enjoy their stunning photos

Lions are always magnificent and their behaviour is regal, even if they devour their food. About 25 years ago there was a Dutch family who bought a lion cub from a zoo and kept him as a pet. They walked him every day like a dog. He drew a lot of attention. By the time he grew too big they had to bring him back to the zoo. He was a very nice, good humoured animal and every body was sorry to let him go.
