ABC Wednesday - O

O is for Ostrich - yes you guessed it, found on our safari holiday!




and also for Orchid found on a table in a Thai restaurant (with my glass of wine) on my recent business trip to Berlin

You have just reminded me that I had an ostrich egg for years and I don't remember what happened to it... !

We used to have a small zoo here that had an ostrich. He would always look for as handout, and would let you pet him if you fed him. If you went up to the fence without food he would peck at you

Funny you should post the ostrich, and then a restaurant - my older son dropped by the other day and popped some minced ostrich meat in my fridge! There'd been a continental farmer's market in town and he'd bought some to try. He said it was 'alright'! LOL!

I wouldn't want to eat an ostrich, I think.
